It's only been 20+ years... this sounds the closest so far. Maybe it wasn't a frog... But it was green, right? I'm going to look it up. Thanks!
I think he was an insect--R.B. Bug--he said "palabra-jot"
Wasn't it about reading? I vaguely remember my kids watching it on PBS.......I think the name had "club" in it.

I don't remember the frog saying that but there was a show called The New Zoo Review that had Freddie the Frog and Henrietta Hippo an Charlie the owl.

Maybe Gullah Gullah Island but I don't remember the frog saying "bellaberjot"! But yeah the show was educational!!
It had a family of black people!! And the kids were a boy and a girl! And the dad sounded Jamacian!! The frogs name was Binyah Binyah!!

The only think I can think of was "Gullah Gullah Island." There was that giant yellow frog thing. I don't remember if he ever talked, but it was educational, I remember because I learned about kookaburras and okra.
I don't remember more than that, though.

The "Kids Show" would be "The New Zoo Revue", Sesame Street didn't have Kermit in it, and the "Muppet Show" didn't have kids in it.
