Competition. We exhibit ourselves in the arena of life by adopting a socially acceptable personality, don fashionable clothes and compete in the game of life. Every generation changes the rules a little bit but the winner is the one with the best combination of looks, talent, personality, brains and of course $$$.

Neither. There is enough to go around if there weren't so many insecure greedy bigots to have an illusion that it is a competition to get their's first and to get everyone elses too. It's not an exhibition because what exactly are we exhibiting? Life is breath.

It is neither a competition nor an exhibition. Life is not reducible to a single word or idea. Life is a very beautiful and complex thing. Enjoy it while it lasts!

It should NEVER be a competition. It's a given that the journey will be completely different for everyone. Nor is it an exhibition. For we all have different goals and abilities in life & everyone is beautiful and unique in their own way.

One slice of pizza. Two people. It is a competition. And as the world expands in population it will become even more so. Perhaps a terrible competition.
Current evolutionary theory states that our very shape and abilities were born of competition.

Life is what you choose to make it. As in people constantly playing "Keeping up with the Jones'" then it is a competition. For some people it is a game and for others a minefield to which they must maneuver through....It is what you make it.

It is most emphatically a competition. A competition to stay alive.
Your question shows just how removed our atitudes have become from the real world. At any instant, it can be brought sharply to your attention that this world is doing its damnest to kill you.

Definitely competition. We are in a race, the human race. We are trying to survive and insure the survival of our offspring. Unfortunately, we really aren't that much more evolved than animals.
