I would suggest getting a retinoid or glycolic or aha (fruit acid) cream that would be available over-the-counter at your local chemist's. These are normally mild-acting when incorporated into your skin-care routine and improve the texture and tone of the complexion. If your skin is particularly oily and you seem to break out all the time, it would be worth your while seeking the advice of a good dermatologist who can guide you and prescribe the right treatment for you to get smoother, clearer skin.
Word of warning, though: some people, me included, are allergic to fruit acids or aha creams. Whichever over-the-counter product you do go for, do a test patch on your inner arm, cover with gauze, and check the reaction after 24 hours.
Good luck, hope this helps!

there are many reasons why your skin can be in the condition that it is in. One depending on your age it could be hormonal. It could also be PARTIALLY dependant on what you put into your body. But often it has to do with using TOO MANY Products and changing those products too often. Often women are too impatient with a product and if they don't receive results within one week they give up on the product and change to another product and therefore it seems that nothing works. If your pores seem big it's usually because they are full of oil and seeing that you say you have zits you probably have very oily skin. It may be that you have acne?? Doctors often treat this with a topical antibiotic that works very well call Tetracycline. Or you can use the store Oxy types but you have to be patient and not give up on the routine. The one thing to remember AND THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, if you dry out your face too much you will signal your pores and glands to produce even more oil to hydrate your skin so you don't want to over-wash and hence overdry your skin. Of course right after you wash your face with those OXY washes your face feels nice right? Well, don't forget to moisturize so that your glands don't start poouring out the oil again to rehydrate your pores and then filling them up again with oil. Take along moisture absorbing papers which you can buy very cheaply at the drug store to absorb oils on your face during the day and pat your face during the day to absorb the oils. Talk seriously to a cosmetician at a MAC counter or one of the higher end counters. They will tell you about your skin. Even if you have to buy one thing from them it would be worth it to do a consult. No matter what people say about cheap cosmetics are as good a expensive ones, I disagree. but if you are careful, you can get good products from Loreal because they also own Lamcombe.

Go to dermadoctor, the site is ran by a dermatologist.
On the dermadoctor site there are a lot of Q and A items that may help with your skin condition. Also there are a great deal of products out there for all skin types and it includes stuff that you don't see in stores. I love this site, it helped me with my KP. After trying a few of the items I swear by them and use them on a daily bases as part of my routine and which now most if not all my skin problems are nonexistent.

after cleasing your face, rinse your face with cold water. cold water can shrink your pores and make them less noticable. also, having big pores doesn't make your skin rough or stop it from being smooth. you need a moisturer to make it smooth because all that acne cleanser is drying up your skin. so after washing your face, put some moisturers on. don't use body lotion though, it'll just make you have break outs .:0)

Ask your doctor, or find a dermatologist... that's what I did and they gave me a prescription med and my skin in flawless!! If the first med doesn't work after a month go back to your doc and ask for a stronger prescription.

Micro dermabrasion or a chemical peel should help. But you should be age appropriate.
