Madam even though Lord wigbottom is a friend of mine , I can not see how he expects a lady of your sophistication intelligence and beauty to abstain from affections.
Indeed if I were Lord Wigbottom I would not have left , and would have given affections to one such as you daily.

In my language and by definition in my dictionary, hiatus and marriage don't go in the same sentence. If my wife takes a hiatus, it's permanent, not temporary.

First of all, if he gets to take a hiatus from monogamy, then you do too!
Secondly, the fact that he left the marriage at all should be answer enough to the first your question.

Personally, I would have had all his stuff out the door before he took off and my hand held out for the door key prior to his leaving. Do you seriously think he's doing without affection?
