Hard to say really, but I'd go with about 16HR and 8SB.

I think your analysis is correct. Speed is harder to come by and you need to draft accordingly. That means taking a top flight speedster or two early. Those two should support your team, don't go for overkill by continuing to draft speed beyond that. Also keep in mind that you want nice AVG and Runs with the speed.

Finding a late pick up like Hanley Ramirez from last year is hard to come by, but there is almost always someone that gets a hot bat.

You're better off mixing both types of players, but stolen bases are generally the easier of the two categories to win.

If you have one or more of the following: Jose Reyes, Jimmy Rollins, Scott Podsednik, Dave Roberts or Rafael Furcal you can expect to win SB just about every week. Other guys like Carlos Beltran, Corey Patterson, Vladimir Guerrero, Derek Jeter, Alfonso Soriano and Carlos Lee, etc...will steal you enough bags to help out. Often times one solid base-stealer combined with a couple guys who steal between 10-20 a year will win you that category each week.

The HR category is harder to draft for because HR come from all over the place. Lots of guys who won't get drafted will knock in 30 HRs next season, so it's important to find the right guys off the waiver wire too and pounce as they're getting hot.

HRs can be expected from guys like Ramirez, Ortiz, Howard, Pujols, etc...but don't shy away from guys who hit around 20-30 HRs a year either and get plenty of RBIs and doubles and whatnot, those guys can contribute on a lot of levels. Lots of guys mash the long ball and not much else. Make sure if you're going for strictly power hitters you get some guys who have a good lineup in front of them (more RBI chances) and guys who can do something other than just mash the long ball and strikeout. Lots of power hitters rip doubles and draw walks like crazy too. Never overlook those stats either!

Good luck.

It depends on who you are playing against and the settings in your H2H league. Some head to head leagues put more emphasis on pitching than on steals. do the guys who hit 20 HR also drive in runs every day or do they strike out a lot. You have to look at your team as a whole. do you want to win those 2 categories every time at the expense of loosing 2-3 other categories. if you can get 10 hr 10 sb a week you should win them. Suggest live draft you can sometimes steel A player others have overlooked. not all managers show up for live drafts anyway.

Do not draft a 1 category speedster in the first 5 rounds or so. One Hr accounts for 4 categories but striahgt up speedster will only be good for 1-2. Drawft the best players avaliable and not just those "speedsters" because they are stealers.

You're doing pretty well if you can get at least 15 HR's per week and probably about 8 stolen bases. I always have success building my team around stolen bases and saves. Those are 2 specialty categories...most of the others can come naturally by the rest of the team.

I personally think you should draft what you need by position. If you get very fast guys at SS(a must) and second base and an outfielder or two you should be good. Completly discount everything else when looking for these guys. From there you can draft heavily powerful guys who might not hit for average or score as many runs for your 1B, 3B, C, and 1/2 remaining outfielders
