Isn't the point of college to GET the training you need to become what you want. Why spend so much money to learn somthin you already know. You should go for it.

yes only if you have a large enough interest that will make the journey enjoyable.

however, interior "decorating" does not require any formal certifications. Anyone can legally call themselves a decorator so schooling for interior decorator is worthless.

Get a degree in interior "designing" instead.

You can always get a degree in interior design, but in order to be successful, you'd probably have to develop talent and skill. Interior design is very artistic and aesthetically-oriented, so you basically have to know what you're doing or you won't have a very substantial client base.

I always say, "Do what you like - and the money usually follows." That can also mean that as you are doing what you are enjoying, you may happen on something else with which you can make money. But it is key to do what you like. When you are enjoying yourself, you will do well - or find something similar at which you will do well. It Always worked for me!

Sure, look at Anna Nicole Smith's decorator, "Bobby Trendy." He was awful, but did well for himself.
