Well I taught myself how to spin my pencil when I was like 16.
I've been doing it for several years now!
I taught my friend ... and the first try, he got it!!!
He was like, "Damn! You're a good teacher!"

But it's hard to teach you online.

Ok let me see....
Well, I found a website that can explain it to you:

Here's a video that I also found:

If you want MY instructions, hold it with your index finger, middle finger, and thumb. Spin the pencil by putting your middle finger towards you as much as you can, which will send the pencil around your thumb. You will be keeping your index finger straight once you started spinning so it won't interfere with the pencil. Then you will bring your index finger back to catch it.

It takes a lot of practice and a good bit of manual dexterity. Start by balancing the pencil on your index finger, and with your middle finger, twirl it. It's easy once you get the hang of it, but like i said, it takes a LOT of practice.
