Heck no! I guess I just don't like ultra-skinny models, it looks goofy. I like athletic type models, healthy & athletic. That, to me, is the model of perfection!
To answer your question about being banned, I'm not thinking that that will solve the eating disorder epidemic that is pervasive in Western culture. I do believe parents should raise strong women.

I think Ultra-Skinny models are the way to go. But it shouldn't be about what the models look like, it's about the clothes. And people who think "all body types should be on the runway" she get a clue. Do you really want to see a 200 lb. girl waddling down the runway in Vera Wang? I sure don't. Like i said, Ultra-Skinny is Ultra-Fab.

i think that all types of models should be on the runway since there are people who ARE naturally thin and healthy, people who are in the middle and people who are thicker. As 4 Clairey Fairey u r full of it! Ultra- Thin is NOT "Ultra-Fab" it's Ultra-Scary! U need 2 take ur shallowness somewhere else and go eat a meal or something!

Designers use ultra skinny models to hide flaws I guess, but in the long run, being ultra skinny looks bad because you can see their bones. Sometimes that even takes the attention off of the clothing and on to the model.

Ultra-skinny models make me sick. In the words of one of my best friends...if they are skinny enough to see through them, why not just float the clothes down the runway on a hanger. You'd get about the same effect.
They don't look natural...and they gross me out.

The more ultra skinny women the better. The majority of women in the civilized world are fat. Fat being at least ten pounds above insurance industry scale for healthy people.
If people would eat the amount of food needed to maintain their productivity there would be less stress placed upon farmers to produce. Also produce less need for sugar , dye,and chemicals from manufacturing plants. Yes ultra thin is needed as an example of what can be accomplished with discipline.

I think ultra skinny models are scary. They may look good to some, but most of those models aren't "just petite." They have to starve themselves just to look good for the audience. I mean, sure, models should be thin, but not bone skinny. I don't understand why people want models where the clothes just hang on them. I don't get it! This world is too obsessed with perfection.

Although i hate that modeling is such a picky/hard business, i like it at the same time. I think if they just put anyone on the runway what would be special about that job? I agree though that they shouldn't portray the image that eating disorders are OK. I like skinny models though =] I guess im indecisive haha

Its just a section, quite. In the 50's, females with curvy shapes (Marilyn Monroe, Jayne Mansfield, and so forth) were considered to have the ideal physique-kind. At present, the trend enterprise has chosen very thin females to wear excessive fashion clothing because the dangle of the fabric on a slender woman looks very excellent. I do not consider the fashion enterprise is encouraging women to shed extra pounds like items, as a lot as showing the gown (and many others) on the perfect model. The Ballet enterprise clearly insists on its dancers to be painfully skinny. That's more of a hindrance.

I hate the ultra skinny. Its not even healthy to be that size. Who wants to see rib-cages all the time. Thats ugly. Be a healthy size. Women have meat on their body look healthy. When I say meat I mean women who are not fat and women that are not skinny; they are just right. I am glad now that some of these companies are turning away these dead models.
