Wait until all the bugs are worked out of the new models... maybe a year or so, then enjoy !

IMO, its not worth it, Blue ray is not destined to win the hidh definition wars and if it fails you have spent all that extra money for no reason, graphically there is nothing on the ps3 that looks better than Gears of War, and the ps3's online system pales in comparison to Xbox Live. Also the games on the Xbox 360 will allways be a generation ahead of the ps3 because the Xbox 360 was released a year earlier.

It honestly depends what you want at the moment. If you want it for the sole purpose of traditional gaminggaming, then I would stick to the PS2 for now. But, if you enjoy watching movies, the largest possible games with 512 bit graphics on 50gb storage per disc, downloadable free game demos/movies, and need a faster internet connection, the Playstation 3 is the way to go.

I would wait untill the console is about a year old. that way most os the bugs are worked out. I think in a years time it will be worth it. I waited a year for the x box 360, and it was worth it. I am also geting a ps3 in about a year. by that time there will be a good selection of games. I hope this helps.

I think the PS3 will be worth the money but right now it doesn't have much to buy it for. If you want a blu-ray player, it would be great to get a PS3 because it includes it. Good luck with your choice!

I would have to agree with Dan C... wait a year because, if it's like all the other systems, there will be alot of bugs to work out during the first release. After the first year, all the issues should be resolved and the price will go down (which is always a plus)!

It will be worth the money if you are intersted in games, although at first there may not be that many games to play
The big advantage of the ps3 over the xbox is it has blu ray built in. This is one of the competing formats in the digh def format war.

sound like it is. V. good graphics, blu-ray. but i would save up till there are more games or they have brought it down in price or when they sort out any gliches (better then xbox 360, which is mainly aimed for 18+)

i don think so ps2 is best in itself . ps3 is newer and advanced but when we talk of perfection , reliability and fun ps2 is unbeatable . so u can go for ps3 but in my view ps2 is great .as far as its price is concened it is pretty much higher than its worth,,,,,,,

I think its the same and any video system....... U play games. U have fun. So really if u enjoy video games then do it, if not than no. (Really I wouldn't its like 600 dollars and like 40 dollars a game) but its up 2 u
