Always consult your doctor to be safe, but:
1) stay away from raw/undercooked meat/fish
2) no soft cheeses...processed, goat, etc., unless they are made with pasteurized milk.
3) avoid swordfish, shark, king mackerel and tile fish, and limit albacore tuna to 6oz per week.
4) stay away from deli meat and hot dogs.
5) unpasteurized juices
6) raw sprouts.
Make sure you wash everything thoroughly: foods, hands, utensils, etc and cook everything properly. Certain hormones can supress your immune system somewhat during pregnancy.

I was always told to stay away from processed meats and soft cheeses as these foods can be subject to listeria, but after saying that I can't help but scoff down a cheeseburger! I think it might be more like processed hams and that kind of thing. Only a few months ago one of the manufacturing companies did a recall because they found this particular type of bacteria in their product. Hope this was of some help.

You can eat just about anything you want.
Some exceptions might include fish that tends to be high in mercury. You can still eat tuna, but limit yourself to one can a week. Shark, tilefish, talapia and swordfish are some that you should avoid. Spicy foods won't hurt you but might give you heartburn. And some doctors tell you to avoid unpasteurized cheeses (soft ones) like feta, brie, camembert and bleu because it could contain listeria, which could in very rare cases pass an infection on to your baby. Same with uncooked lunch meats like hotdogs and cold cuts.

Lots of pregnant women crave spicy foods whilst they are pregnant. They won't hurt your baby and apparently help speed up the process. You can eat most types of fish during pregnancy too. If you have any worries about your diet, contact your GP.

Limit fish (mercury)
Eat coldcuts within 5 days (listiria)
No soft, unpastuerized cheese (listiria)
Buy the biggest bottle of Tums you can find (don't try to use milk to get rid of heartburn, learned that the hard way)
I loved spicy foods, they didn't give me heartburn
The greater variety of foods you eat now, the greater variety you can continue to eat when breatfeeding because your baby will have already been exposed to the flavors through amniotic fluid.

Try to stay away from some fish like tuna because it may be high in mercury and stay away from herbal teas and things like that. Your doc can print a list out for you that should be pretty helpful and ay include some medications you are aloud to take

There is a big range for that question so I'll try to remember as much as I can from my pregnancy days to tell you. Please keep in mind though that every woman and pregnancy is different and I had morning sickness from about 4-6 weeks all the way through till the end so this may not even help much because you may not go through the same thing.
Drink water....lots of water. Try to stop drinking sodas if you drink them now or if you find that hard try to stay away from sodas that have caffine and a big one, in my oppinion worse than caffine, sodas that have contain phosphoric acid in it. I was told by my doctor that the chemical phosphoric acid eats away at the calcium in your bones and since during pregnancy if you're baby doesn't get enough of what he/she needs from foods you eat than he/she takes it from your body, so you'll need all the calcium you have for you're little one. If you're gonna drink juice, try to make sure it's as natural as possible by also reading ingrediants even if it says on the front 100% real usually you'll find out otherwise by checking out the ingrediants.
Remember to take pre-natal care vitamins each and every day because those will give you the right amount of folic acid you're baby needs....if you haven't been able to see a doctor yet for a perscription of pre-natal vitamins than they can usually easily be found on counters by the pharmacy area that you can buy over the counter without perscriptions and still have the right amount of folic acid the baby needs. I also took Expecta Lipil Supplements as well along with the pre-natal vitamins, they're from the same makers of Enfamil. Those can also be found around the pharmacy area in counters....usually I found them at first at Walgreens and then later at Walmart. They give you more DHA (a key nutrient babies receive in utero and through breast milk, important for development for baby's brain and eyes) since most women on average don't get enough of this for their babies from what they eat each day.
Pretty much that's it as far as I can remember so just enjoy anything you want and go with your cravings....those are also sometimes different with each pregnancy as well(it was in my case anyway). Also Congradulations if you're a new mommy to be :)
One more thing I can also add as advice, though it is not about food, is if you're pregnant right now you should go ahead and register with Enfamil and Pampers...any baby products on line is great really. I did this because with my second baby I still wasn't sure until after delivery if I'd breastfeed her also or just go with formula. So Enfamil sent me cans of formula on the date that I was expected to have the baby(she unexpectedly came two months early) as a congrats gift and usually you'll get lots of coupons as well from the baby product companies you register with so that comes in very, very handy. Just in case you're wondering, I did choose to breast feed because she was a premie baby and then I just gave all the free formula and formula coupons I got to a friend who had her baby a few months after me.

Cheeseburgers are fine, but try to limit caffeine, alcohol, and tons of sugary foods. Raw meats, fish, and soft cheeses are not recommended.
