Most mis-used yes. Shilpa for instance just said for no reason, that "Jade Is racist", and Jermaine said "white trash".. Jade said "poppadom", so who is the racist here and why ???

Good question!

I would say it is the most undefined and misunderstood term in the language today. It is used by too many people who do not know what it really means and this undermines the people who legitimately complain of being abused by racists.

Racism is not a matter than can be dealt with by accusation and isolation...it has to be dealt with through understanding and tolerance.

Jade is not enlightened enough to understand the impact of her actions. She is a racist...but I suspect she is not a knowing one.
She does deserve to be given the chance to learn what it is to be Indian in Britain today. I bet she is fairer than a lot of the knowing people who just want to scapegoat ethnic minorities to hide their own inadequacies.

EDIT:

Well look at that...a moron with a thumb!

yes.
i think its become a fashion statement to call others "bigotted","ignorant" or "racist".

Everyones at it ,I feel embarrassed at some of the situations its used in.

Much of the problem is in the indoctrination of schoolchildren by the labour government,to think to the left. They may dislike tony blair ,but only for the war in iraq which indeed is an anomaly to left wing principle. However, theyre wearing his leftist veiws.

The workplace is no longer a place to air your veiws, big brother bosses and whistleblower peers have become the norm.you could get your p45 faster than you can say "immigrant"
The current mindset is to live the lie and go with the crowd.

The people who use it have lost all credibility. But then, they didn't have much credibillity to begin with. Calling someone racist is now the same as comparing them to a Nazi. Whoever does it first loses automatically.

i think so, but it sometimes is wrongly placed other than using other similarily related term such as racial profiling or judging a book by it's cover and many such terms.

Yes I think it is....and if you're referring to the whole celeb big bro thing then I think the person in question, in my opinion, is not so much racist as ignorant and stupid.
