My computer (laptop) wont play sound anymore? The little icon that should be at the bottom right corner disappeared a couple of weeks ago and i had to do it with the little thing that usually turns up the volumn. But now thats not working. (we just got our computer back from my dads work office cause its their company computer and they had to download some stuff to it) But i have tried everything even going to control panel but it keeps saying: no mixer device. or something...
WHAT SHOULD I DO?! I need sound now!!

During startup, try hitting F8, to go into setup, and make sure you sound card isn't disabled or something like that, thats what it sounds like it might be to me.
