Well, see my friends always tell me "Don't crack your knuckles its bad for you," is it really? what can it do if it is bad for you? It sounds like a silly question, but I'm dying to know. Thancs!

cracking your knuckles does nothing to the joints in your hands. the sound that you hear is pockets air in the joint escaping. its really nothing more that a strech of your hands. its the same thing happening when your pop your back. im sure during it a lot or in an extreme fashion will cause something bad. but if your are doing it in a reasonable manner to stretch your hands then its okay

Well, actually I have heard my Great Aunt say that one of her friends has arthritis because of this. And it would make sense, osteoarthritis is caused by wear and tear on joints. Constant cracking of knuckles can be pretty stressful to a joint.

Yes it is bad for you, when you get older your knuckles will hurt and swell up, i know i cracked them thought it was cool to hear them. I'm 49 my hands look like they are 90, so don't crack them.

nothing serious, more because it makes your knuckles look wide. I do it all the time anyway!!

well you will get arthrits and screw up the cartolge in your fingers and your bones are gonna be all ugly and sticking out
