I felt a sudden need to play the classic 1983 arcade game "Dragon's Lair", but I can't find it anywhere without having to pay $50. Is there any web site that will let me play or download it for free? (not dragon's lair 2, 3, or 3D)

There is a free emulator called Daphne that emulates laserdisc games like Dragon's Lair, however, you need to have the game's ROM file along with either the original laserdisc or an mpeg rip of the original laserdisc to play it. Getting the ROM isn't difficult, there are several sites where you can find that, and I can link you to one. The mpeg is very likely to be a problem, however: I've yet to run across a site that has usable laser game mpegs freely available. The Daphne creators themselves recommend checking the newsgroup postings on deja.com to see if anyone's talked about where to get mpegs; they don't provide or otherwise discuss them, for legal reasons.
If you don't have any luck finding the mpegs, then it may be easier for you to just buy a copy from ebay. People are selling used PC and Playstation2 copies of Dragon's Lair all the time, and you can pick one up for just a couple of bucks.

Download a P2P software like emule or limewire on to your pc,once you do that,search for the songs you want,it will show you a list of available sources,download from the list,its free :)

Joyb is right about Daphne for a free version of it and MAME is working on it too, But $50.00 for it is insaine Here is a link for it a lot cheeper http://www.cdaccess.com/html/pc/draglair.htm and once you have it all you need to do is put it in an play. Enjoy....
