Actually there are about 8 or 9 billion kinds of people out there as we are all very different. There is no true way of categorizing any of us together completely & even the 12 signs have certain attributes that cross over into the others. We are all like a different star on the sky. We are each our own grain of sand on a vast beach of diversity.

I think that the horoscopic personalities are remarkably accurate! But they don't describe everyone by any means. Everyone is different, and not everyone matches up to their projected personalities. (Although, about 95% of the people I have encountered do.) Actually, if you study all of the ancient forms of astrology, including eastern, western(zodiac), animal totem(native american), and even nortic and celtic, they all break up into smaller divisions within the larger groups. For example: Eastern, or Chinese, astrology breaks down into several divisions, not just months. Animal totem goes by season, as well as month and day of birth. Celtic assigns tree signs for the time of day and month. Even western, or zodiac, astrology breaks down into rising and falling signs according to time of birth. These slight fluctuations in signs can cause any number of characteristic changes in someone's personality. Thus, there are several different personality projections in astrology, not just the standard twelve that we associate astrology with.

Aquarius may be eccentric, but he is not THE oddball at a single cocktail party. They do very well socially or alone. So that sun sign should not be the best chosen answer. You need to look into the characteristics of those that aren't comfortable in social environment such as cocktail parties. Even then, there is no particular right answer to this, because it depends on the other planets of the natal chart, for those who understand astrology a little bit more than just on the sun sign level ;).

In broad characteristics, the zodiac is remarkably accurate. People who are born at different times of the year, experience life differently. Thus, their personalities are a bit different. As bio-rhythms show, we confront our environment in different states of mind which tend to govern what happens to us.
Given the number of variables that are operating upon us at any given time, the zodiac is as good a method of fortelling the future as any other.

haha.. LOL i see what you mean. i always used to wonder that too. i guess people who believe in zodiac horoscopes believe there is only 12 types of people. that would be really strange in my mates house then because they are all born in the same month. her dad, her twin and her are born on the same day and her mum 2 weeks before and her sister 4 days after. so does that mean all 5 of them are exactly the same? i dont believe in horoscopes... it fun to read what the stars say for me anyway.

au contraire, mon frere: the permutations and combinations are practically infinite. 12 signs, each sign with 30 degrees ,10planets, asteroids, nodes,, different times and locations of birth, etc., etc. each of us has a different natal chart, even identical twins, since they are born at different times. ;-)

Not really. There are also ascendants in other signs, that everyone has, and then there's the year you were born in (snake, horse etc). All of these make much more combinations. I'm not much of an astrologist, these are all I know about.
