How can I make a snow gun out of every day plumbing meterials?

It doesnt actually have to be that cold. Ski resorts can make snow at 46 degrees, depending on the humidity.

Its the pressure from the compressed air at the nozzle that help to freeze the water. You need high air pressure and a special tip that atomizes the water to make snow. The tip is really the only special part but you can get them from these guys. ( http://www.backyardblizzard.com/ ) I have the snow wand they make and it works great!! I'm the only one with snow right now and I'll be making more tonite.

Yeah to the wet bulb poster!! I didnt get into that because I didnt think anyone would understand.

The temperature has to be cold enough first of all. Then you would take an air compressor and connect it with a Y with your garden hose. Then as the air mixes with the water and shoots in the air, it should come down as snow. It might not be as fluffy as real snow, it might be a little more crystalized. You might need to experiment with the air/water mixture to get the right combination.
