the kind of tree im talking about is the garden fence like tall ones. we already have a bunch of them in the garden and been there for years and years,, but was wondering if i can replant parts of them, i cant test it cuz the leaves are always green so i wouldnt notice the difference if they are dead. for pics of the tree check this link

I wasn't aware of the kind of tree you have but I think you can plant it in your garden as long as you know if it can stand the weather in your area. For example, a tropical plants can't stand winter. Sorry, can't help much on this one.

For your second and third question, it'll all depend again on what kind of trees they are. Some trees grow really well from cuttings while others are usually started from seeds and won't survive from cuttings. But you can experiment from them if you want. The best time to do some is in the fall when leaves are all fallen off the trees or in early early spring while the trees are still dormant. Pick a good mature branch or twig and cut it. Dip it in a rooting agent and stick it in the part of the garden that is out of the way for now, transfer them later to their right place if they survived. In winter, put a good mulching so it won't freeze to death. Good luck and have fun. There are lots of books in the Library to help you with this and much more.
