No, we like dogs and cats and horses etc., and they seem to like us right back. I think what they are is what they are meant to be.

Man has certain bodily needs such as clothing, warmth and food. Did man ruin this? I am not for sure on that one -- the Bible says Adam and Eve sinned and this caused it all.
At that point mankind had certain options that were given to him by default. Slaughtering animals seems to have been one of them.
I live in a part of the country where hunting is popular -- but I do not hunt. Why? Because I feel that the animals have a tough enough time surviving on the browse that they eat to stay alive. Meanwhile, since we domesticated animals for an assured quantity of meat, I find that an alternative source that I use.
That does not mean that I like the system. Far from it. Hopefully, some day we will learn to synthesize food properly. Until that day, I will eat meat with some reservations.
But, consider this, every time you eat anything in the way of plant life, you are destroying that life. It is better to eat to live than to live to eat.

No. If God did not intend it, it wouldn't have happened. Some small animals make great pets, other animals are almost a necessity for our existance on the other hand.

Yes - the Bible clearly states "Thall Shall Not Kill" and I don't see any exception clauses. We no longer need to eat meat and only do so for entertainment. Foods like hot dogs and hamburgers are not nutritionally good and eaten just for fun. Therefore we kill and abuse animals for fun. I don't think God would like that. Do you think that if Jesus were alive today he would be chomping on a plate of animal corpse? He is the Prince of Peace and I dont think so.

No.

There were no dogs before humans. They were called wolves. Once domestication happened, wolves evolved into dogs.

Creatures adapt to their surroundings. This is nature's way as well as god's way.
