I blame Jermaine for the racism row in the Big Brother house. Jade is not a racist she's just different culture and class to Shilpa and has a massive chip on her shoulder which was bound to cause problems. Jo and Danielle are just petty and imature little girls with a school-girl mentality.
Jermaine, on the other hand, kept telling Shilpa that it was all to do with the fact that she was a person 'of colour'. What BS.
He has big issues as this is a very convenient excuse. Wouldn't it be great to dismiss every problem or every rejection or person who didn't like you as a racist.

I totally agree with you! Jermaine was the first one to say that it had anything to do with race and he repeatedly said that it was because of her race. However, You can not leave the press out when appointing blame as surely they were to blame for quickly spreading all over the world that it was a racist issue.

I blame Channel 4 for editing the programme and showing only the small details that they knew would cause the greatest uproar.
The racism thing I think has been blown all out of proportion.
If Shilpa or Jermaine had said something like this to one of the white housemates would this have been picked up? I don't think so.
As usual the whites are racist and not the blacks or coloured.
Mr Blair and Mr Bush have a hellish lot to answer for.

NO one person is to Blame, no one was a racist in the big bro house... They just hate each other because they are jealous of what each other has or has not got in life.. NO IT'S the people who actually believe the BS that the media has said about Jade and Shilpa. Jade = big gob, Shilpa = Upset to easily.. So therefore, WE, US, ALL say that racists are at work

I agree with you all the way there....Davina said to Jade in the interview last night that she was booted by BB because they said she hadn't been racist.....but like you say why hasn't jarmaine been pulled up for his comments??
Shilpa also manipulated the situation and always went running back to the men to giggle and do her puppy dog eyes at Jermaine and Dirk!
Jade had a point when she said that Jermaine didnt let her and Shilpa bond because everytime she went to talk to them he called her back to make sure that she didnt lower herself!
The media hyped all this up and alot of it had been twisted as it always is!

Big Brother is entertainment.
The statement that was made,"Shilpa wishes she were white" ......well, if you read the interviews that Shilpa has given in the past two days, she admits it herself that if she had the choice, she would be white. Why is the truth discriminatory? Thats BS.
"She's a dog"....c'mon, this is an entertainment competition. Look at wrestling and nascar. Same thing, just a different tune.

I also think it was Jermaine who stirred this up from the beginning - he has constantly said 'I am the only man of colour in the house and Shilpa is the only woman of colour in the house' even before the very violent rows started. He started the seeds of doubt in Shilpa's mind by saying ths over and over to her - even when she said it wasnt racist. It was also Jermaine that started calling the others 'White trash' - a clear racist remark if ever I heard one and Shilpa agreed with him !!!!! Jermaine obviously has race issues although I think he's a lunatic like his brother - what was his remark about 'Just listen to the words of Man in the Mirror - that will tell you everything'??? Very strange !!!! xx

Good point well made. He did call Jade's mum "white trash" - now surely that's racist?
Luckily Shilpa is intelligent enough to know what is going on and she know's Jade's got problems but racism isn't it.

If the network has issues with anything said or done on a "reality" show, they certainly have right and the means to edit it out. Apparently, ratings were more important than being PC, so the offensive incident remained. Blame the producers, who are supposed to be more sophisticated than the fame-at-any-cost morons who agree to be on tv and make idiots of themselves for our "entertainment". Sadly, reality shows would already be a thing of the past if people simply stopped watching them.

It's all al publicity stunt to improve bb's ratings! I really don't think Jade or Danielle are being racist, it's being cut and edited to make them look bad. I don't think they have the intelligence between them to know what it even means
