None. Baby's are eating/growing machines.

You'll have more full diapers, more often, but the kid will be fine.

I try to feed my girlfriends baby a variety of things, however.

sometimes oatmeal, sometimes barley, sometimes rice, all with formula (his mother is lactose intolerant and that can be genetic). I know for children and adults variety is very important in our diets, so I would keep that in mind.

That depends...number one I don't have a son, but my daughter has always been lactose intolerant so the side EFFECTS would be her throwing up, diarreah, cramping and possibly a visit to the emergency room. So she didn't drink cow or goats milk. Side effects of soy milk? Very low cholesterol level, healthy teeth and bones...yeah a bit of a weight gain but that's only because chocolate soy milk tastes so damn GOOD....Yes I drink it too...

Do you mean baby human milk or baby cow milk?

Your child cannot really drink too much breast milk. But at 11 months, they are too young for cow's milk. Some people think that cow's milk is not good for humans, anyway - we don't drink it. Too much milk could cause gas (like lactose intolerance) or allergy symptoms, or obeisity, since the fat-protein-calorie ratio is designed for baby cows, not baby humans.

well if he is 11 months he should still be on formula but if you switched him already one obvious way to tell is the poop color it will be like a very light brown and more beige you also have to be careful cause to much milk will make them get low in iron my 2 year old had that problem and i have to limit his milk

he just probably wont gain as much weight as he should because rather than filling up on food he will fill up on milk. i think that would be the only negative side effect.

No baby under 12 months old should drink dairy products at all. They do not have the enzymes in their digestive system to digest it.
