I think that nobody knows when Dooms Day will occur, so they are just trying to look smart by making a clock to count it down. I really dont think it has anything to do with when dooms day will really come and go.

Fact.. But it sucks too.. What if Armageddon would happen right now, and they couldn't change the clock fast enough, that would be really bad, right? Inaccurate i guess? Especially only if they would change it once a year?
