This is a perfect example of why he will never be an elite QB. He tried to essentially sneak a bong through an airport? He has proven over the last 6 years that potential will not get him where he needs to be. Poor decision making both on and off the field have doomed him to be average at best (and NO, running like he does doesnt make him elite, winning games with a combination of skills does and i dont remember him guiding the Falcons to a Super Bowl) and that is too bad because he has the tools to be an elite QB. But this incident has made it clear to the Falcons that he may never "get it" and they better keep Schuab around. Bad decision by him, and sadly I doubt he will ever get his act together. I bet off the record that a lot of his teammates have soured on him, it is hard enough to be a pro football player without this kind of stupidity and the rest of the team suffers when he does these things. Maybe the court will not pamper yet another athelete and he will spend some "quality time" learning that being good at something doesnt make you less accountable. You and me would get jail time, lets hope if he doesnt that maybe now he will understand that there are society issues that he needs to fix. How to explain this one to the kids that wear Vick jerseys in Atlanta, just tell them to be as good as Vick and it is okay?

If I were Arthur Blank, I would be thinking about how I can turn the page without this guy. Look he is obviously the most gifted natural athlete to ever play QB in the NFL. The truth, however, is that a legitimate blue chip NFL QB must be able to throw the ball effectively no matter how moblie he is. Donovan McNabb was able to do that. I'm not sure Vick can.

He wasn't thinking at all. That's the problem. I think he can't handle the pressure of being a big time QB or a leader of a team. He needs someone to show him the ropes and guide him along. Nobody ever has done that for him. He needs a mature player or coach to help him along. He's never had that. He might get traded.

Vick is a moron. Only a dumbas* doesn't know that you can't take a bottle of water through the security line anymore. Especially, when you try to alter it to hide drugs. He should have been arrested on the spot and not allowed to fly. I can only imagine what would happen if I had done that, or any other regular flyer!

Mike Vick obviously wasn't thinking. Couldnt he have given it to someone else thats flying with him so that even if his bud gets caught with it, he doesnt get in trouble...he is an Idiot

He was getting high because he knows he's out of Atlanta anyway and just wanted to speed up the process. He won't fit in Bobby Petrino's offense.

He was thinking about getting high. Going back to his roots. He is an over rated over paid ghetto rat. Never could be a good QB.

His failure to become even an average NFL quarterback and his off the field problems both point to Michael Vick's inability to make sound decisions.
