A superb university - Trinity College, Dublin. The famous poet, W.B.Yeats. The amazing writer, James Joyce. The greenest grass you'll find anywhere. Very friendly people. They breed the fastest racing greyhounds in the world. They breed some of the world's best racehorses. Between 1928 and 1975, they had the world's most beautiful banknotes, known as the 'Lady Lavery' notes.
Other famous Irish writers include Brendan Behan, Maeve Binchy, Joyce Cary, Roddy Doyle, Liam O'Flaherty...the list goes on and on.

Music. Fiddlers on every corner many year ago and in pubs. CLANCY brothers who took America by storm. Great knees ups, friendliness, sense of humour, laid back attitude. Irish culture is rich and wonderful and I would say that because my parents are Irish! But it's true. I was privileged to have been brought up amongst a very large extended family who taught us acceptance of all people no matter where they come from.
And of course....bacon cabbage and spuds!

Begrudgery.
We are famous for begrudging our fellow Irish men any amount of significant international success. For example, Bono was a local hero in Ireland until he became a worldwide star, now we all call him a prick at every possible oppotunity. Same goes for Colin Farrel, he was one of the lads, showin the Yanks how it was done, they he became a star, now everybody thinks he's a wanker at home.
To illustrate this properly here's a joke/half joke,
An American is walking down the road and a guy passes him in a Ferrari. The American says to himself, "One of these days I'm gonna get one of those Ferraris".
Further down the road is an Irish man. The same Ferrari passes him, and he says to himself, " One of these days I gonna get that f u c k e r".
