What matters is the spinal cord. If you did not break the spinal cord yes you could walk even though the vertebrae are broken. This is the reason for the neck brace to keep the cord intact. Even the swelling can damage the cord. If this is you I wish you all the best. Please do not move your head. Again good luck.

There is a difference between an injury to the spinal column and one to the spinal cord. So yes, it's possible. It's also possible that it will take months of physical therapy to regain the ability to walk. Bur if there is permanent damage to the spinal cord, then no, not only will walking almost certainly be impossible, but the same will be true of voluntary bladder and bowel control as well as most upper body control. As well, a ventilator may be needed on an almost permanent basis.

Here's the single most important point. A person is in their own hearts and in their own heads, but occupies a physical body. A disability doesn't keep you from living and living a happy, productive an d fulfilling life. But your reaction to your disability can keep you from doing just that.

no....unless bush lets our scientists do more reserch on stem cells...i don't know what is wrong with this monster...if someone he knows is injured i bet the stem cells will be in the lab tomorrow !! good luck to you...
