I'm creating a Web Site and have been researching ways to improve traffic. I already know what key words will work well. (I'm kind of new at this, but I am learning.)
My question: Where's the best place to put them? Should they be in the title? Should they be in the meta tags? Should they be in the document text? How about the underlined links?
Also, should I repeat the keywords many times or won't that get me any more hits.

1) You should use a good descriptive title tag that includes your keyphrase.
2) Your keyphrase should appear naturally in the text of your web page.
3) Never pad your webpage with extra instances of the phrase - tricks like this haven't worked for years.
Lastly, the days of using some sort of formula to create high ranking webpages are long gone. Search engines like original, well written content that is frequently updated. Give them this and in time you'll be rewarded.

Title, Description, Content, and Anchor text of INCOMING links. Google doesn't read meta tags and their weight is very low. Incoming links from authoritative sites is your key.
