My sister is a few inches taller than I am (I'm 18, she's 14). I would like to be taller than her, but my parents don't care.

mother is 5-6, father is 5-10, i'm 5-9, sister is around 6 feet.

You know that would depend on how tall the son is. Some boys are short and if you have a son that is short chances are your daughter may very well be taller. By the sounds of how this is bothering you it seems you are short and she's just taller than you are because she is growing normal. It doesnt' matter. You can't stop the growth and everyone is a unique individual. It really doesn't matter. IF a boy was born a dwarf and had a sister that wasn't ..wouldn't it be fair if she was taller? It's not her fault nor the boys.

Girls hit their growth spurt before boys, you still have plenty of time to get taller. My husband was 5'7'' when he graduated from high school and is now 5'10''. But as to your question, it wouldn't matter to me one bit which is taller and besides, we don't have much say it how talll we get anyway right?!

It would not matter to me who was taller as long as they were both happy & healthy,besides girls grow faster than boys in their adolescent years so you may catch up a little later.

what would you expect your parents to do about it? there is nothing they can do about it.all they can do is listen and then after a while it get's old.i'm sure your not the only person out there with a taller sister.it's no ones fault it's all in the genes.

I would rather by son be taller. But I think that in my children's case my daughter will be taller. but only time will tell.

girls growth spurt starts before men... dont worry to much Height Doesn't matter much not to mention from what Ive been told boys start their growth spurt from ages 18-21
