x = 14/0.28
x = 50g

You solve these and similar questions by restating the question: '14 is .28 (which is how you write 28 per cent) of what?' More mathematically, 14=.28x
to get x, divide both sides by .28.
14/.28 is 50
.28x/.28 is 1x
so 50 is 1x
x is your unknown (the 'what' in the question above)
So the answer is 50 grams.

14*100/28 = 50 g

14g = .28x
