i have a 1.8ghz amd 2500XP on an abit nf7 motherboard running nforce 2.0 i have an nvidia 6600 agp 8x with 256mb ram and 1GB of system ram. I have a creative soundblaster audigy1 card and the old ati PCI tv-tuner and all latest drivers for everything as of today. I have windows xp sp.2 and running CA security center's anti-virus and anti-spyware. I have two hard drives installed Drive D: has 21% defragged freespace and the windows system drive Drive C: has 31% defragged free space. And i just wiped drive C: and completely re-installed everything in proper order. All fans in check and case temp reports an avg 70-80F Degrees. Power supply has been professionaly examined and okayed. Virus and spyware scanners report nothing. What is causing my computer to reboot randomly during all directx gameplay? this reboot comes without a blue screen or sys. dump and can be predicted to happen within 30 minutes of gameplay, yet still random. Ive tried everything Please someone help!

The first place to start would be the Event Viewer which is eventvwr.exe. Look for System and Application events with a red "X" about the time the computer restarts. If you look under the Startup section under the Advanced tab in the "My Computer" properties, the computer is probably configured to restart when a critical error occurs as opposed to Blue Screening.

If the problem occurs with every game it could be related to the Direct X drivers, or your sound or video drivers.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
