Yeah u are right about the retards in the house, i prefer to refer them as monstrosities which are let out of the zoo and into the BB house, they obviously have too much time on their hands, i wont say celebs because it is too much of a generalisation today, however talented musicians and actors have better things to do..i.e spend time with family and close friends,they have way too much prying into their personal lives by the media and them going into the house cannot be healthy or do them any favours,and the so called talents who go into the house...just want to air their dirty linen in public...and have no shame..

England does have real talent, however they have a respect for their private life, which is what these z listers feel is inadequate, so they try to justify it, by causing drama and crappy tv in the process....i second everyone who mentioned the likes of The Beatles and David Beckham...if they arent talent..i dont know what is..

England only has credited and talented actors, singers etc. The word celebrity these days is applied to people who have accomplished nothing or are just a pretty airbrushed/surgery enhanced face who create a surreal and unachievable image for today's youth.

We do have 'real' celebs it's just that the 'real' ones don't need to go on BB and realise it always enhances fame for the wrong kind of reasons and exposure. Defect in their behaviour are best left behind closed doors for the purposes of good publicity

Oh but we do. You are confusing the people on Big Brother with real celebrities.The real ones do not make fools of themselves on television or in a night club. They do not get their names and pictures in newspapers for being badly behaved, they do not sell `kiss and tell` stories to magazines. They do not behave in anyway that is detrimental to themselves or their family, or their career, they do not shout obscenities at each other and in general use vulgar language. They are in fact, quite ordinary people who are respected for what they do and how they behave.

Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, The late GREAT John Lennon, Ozzy (if you ever actually listen to his lyrics, some are quite beautiful). Do musicians not fit your definition of Celebrity?
