They have no interest in assimilating into our Western culture or accepting our common values. Look at the way they're currently destroying the cultures of those Western European countries naive enough to have opened their doors to the Muslim horde: riot after riot in France, religiously-motivated assassinations in the Netherlands, calls for an Islamic Republic of Britain, etc...
Shouldn't the US learn from the terrible mistakes of others and eliminate all Muslim immigration?

argle: are you truly THAT obtuse? Look around you, my friend. Muslims are not interested in peacefully coexisting with you. They want you either praying to the est or dead. Perhaps you think it's more important to be PC than to continue breathing, but sane people do not.

studbolt: you PC types crack me up. McVeigh was an agnostic, but I'll play along just for giggles. Let's pretend for a moment that he were a dyed-in-the-wool Christian fundamentalist. The fact remains he committed his act inspite of Christianity, not because of it. Kaczynski blew things up because he was a luddite. Muslims fly planes into buildings BECAUSE they're Muslims. They holler "Allahu Akbar" as they blow themselves up for a reason.

During world war ll, Japanese immigrants were held in detention camps around the country because of suspicion and many had immediate relatives who were part of the Japanese Empire.
This was a defensive move on the government's part.
This current situation with Muslims has to be dealt with directly.
Many Muslims do show tendencies of not wanting to assimilate into the "melting pot" in this country.
I think they should at least be rigorously screened before immigrating.

I think almost everyone would be in favor of a closed mexican border and many people would like to limit immigration. We do try to stay out of other peoples business, but their business just happens to us. Like WWII. We tried to stay out of it. Then the Japanese attacked us. If we would have not had a huge military buildup in the cold war then russia would have invaded europe and eventually attacked us. If we leave Iraq, then Iran invades them and gets rich off of their oil. They will the have the power to overthrow Saudi Arabia, which will make them one of the most powerful countries on earth. They would then nuke Israel and attack us. We would all love to let other countries kill each other and not have to go to war to stop them, but that will never happen. We are going to have to continue to fight ugly, brutal wars and suffer quite a bit.

I think that the entire question is really one sided? Isnt this the home on the Free! I thought that the so called founders of this country came here to ESCAPE religious persecution! Why should we have to assimilate! As far as I'm concerned if your not native American you are an immagrant!!

Au contraire, my logically fallacious brother, our Muslim neighbors have given up much of their native culture to adapt to the capitalistic lifestyle of America.
EVIDENCE:
a) Muslim women are far less likely to cover their entire bodies, many wear jeans and makeup
b) Muslims will works with non-Islamic banks, something that is Halal in the Mideast
c) Muslims are learning English and speaking it with pride
d) Muslims are helping American culture, they even have a representative in the House
Your non sequitor assumption only shows you for the fool you are. Might I make a suggestion? Read the Bible. I should be quite enlightening to you.

I think there should be a question asked when a Muslim applies for entry.
It's simple. Which is paramount, the US Constitution or Sharia Law? If they answer the latter, they don't come in. Period.
