Okay, what are your first impressions when you see a Bratz doll?
For me it's 'What street corner can they be found on?' and otherwise 'How do they make the money they need for all those nice things they have and wear?'
Even if you watch their shows it shows them as nice girls, if a little empty headed sometimes, but still doesn't answer the second question.

Flusher!
Like many I have children, and more importantly I don't just sit them down in front of a TV to keep them occupied. I watch what they watch so I know what's going on in their lives, and I can relate a little better to the questions they ask and the things they say.
Good parenting 101.

They should be called Slutz. I will not allow my kids to own one or watch one. If my little girl dressed like that I would only have myself to blame should she get the idea that looky "hoochie mama-ish" is what is important and normal. They make me sick.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with Bratz dolls. My little cousin is 9 and she loves them. She has her entire room decorated in the Bratzs theme. The come in several nationalities, and young girls enjoy them. They have some that do not have on "slutty" clothes. The sleepover Bratzs are cute. The Bratz babies are cute too. I think that everyone has an opinion of eveything and we're entitled to it. In my opinion I like them.

Our younger girls wanted Bratz but when we saw them we decided to not buy them dolls that look like they have just spent a long night out on the corner. We found dolls that are called Best Friends" and got those instead. They are similar to Bratz without looking like hookers. :)

I am with you, they look like mini hookers. Why people let their kids watch that or play with those things I will never understand. Those things are joke with me and my husband. My daughter is only 20 months old but I will not allow her to play with them once she is old enough, I am hoping they will be off the shelves by then and off to the new thing (that is not so slutty)!

I think they resemble snooty girls and really they are stereotyped dolls!!! I wouldn't buy them for my children if i had kids.

I think they should just stick with barbie since kids have had bad impressions on her so far, they don't need anymore bad impressions.

My guess is that they are children of rich parents. They are representations of what the media is so enthralled with the last decade or so. Rich kids (brats) who have no acumen, talent, or other reason for being famous except that they are children of rich people (e.g. Paris Hilton).
