I got gas, got back in the car, turned it on and the air bag light was on. It does not go off. The car has not been in any accident or anything like that. Does anyone know what would cause the air bag light to all of the sudden go on? Anyone know the cost to get it fixed or how to turn it off?

The car computer system has picked up a fault with your air bag .You need to take it to an Audi dealer who will read the trouble code stored in your electronic control unit.Just like normal desk top computers somtimes for no apparent reason they come up with an error message if you re start the system it goes away. When the Audi mechanic gets a code read out from your car it wll tell him what fault exists and will be able to fix it.Do not take notice of people that will tell you to disconnect the battery this will have no effect on your air bag light but will cause other problems.I own and work on Audi in the UK Hope this is of some help to you Regards Mick.

The air bags might need maintenance so you could take it to a mechanic or dealership if it is under warranty and get them to check it out. But it also may be a faulty light were there's nothing wrong and the dealership will just turn the lighgt off.
