Run an air cleaner while working, or run a wet vac and it will pull in some of the particles floating around in the air...put a small amount of water in the wet vac. Make a plastic curtain around the area that you are working in and use the vac or the cleaner within that area. Work in small sections at a time. Use masks for yourself or you may have lung problems breathing that stuff.

Not enough information. Are you working with drywall?, Are you sanding after taping? Are you sawing? Have you finished the project and now trying to clean up?

Generally you vacumme with a fine filter-- if you are sanding, use a sander with a vac attachment, if you are sawing, catch as much as possible with the vacumme, if you are trying to clean up-- it's easier if you clean as you go--

Otherwise, use moisture to get as much as you can-- i.e. vac up what you can and wet mop the floor-- rinsing frequently so the dust goes down the drain instead of being redistributed.

good luck
