Never changed your mind about a situation once you learned the truth? Also, don't forget how this wonderful and moral administration fed the American people some significant misinformation about Iraq and the threat it posed to us. The administration has admitted that "mistake". Oh, and that was only after their feet were held to the fire on it and they had no choice.

Yes, I can. Most of those who voted for this war have now turned against it. When a situation turns ugly, as this war has done, I expect our representatives in government to change their position as it is called for. We've already seen what sticking to this war plan, no matter the failure factor, has gotten us. Bush's stay the course b.s. has divided this nation and continues to back up a failed war strategy. What kind of sense does that make at all? I don't want a robot in charge who stubbornly sticks to prior commitments, instead of admitting that commitment was a bad one and changing their mind when it is warranted.

The people will believe what they want to hear.
Why should they do any investigative research on each candidate? It seems that it won't make much difference anyway.
These politicians know that. "Be all things to all people" is their motto.

Yea, why would we want someone capable of learning from their mistakes? Stay the course I say, no matter how wrong that course turns out to be.
