Absolutely - if Clinton should have been impeached for getting a b!@w job in the white house, Bush should get impeached for lying to us.

Actually, no. Even if Bush's dishonesty about WMD, etc. can be proven, technically that's not a violation of the law (he wasn't under oath on the subject, among other reasons).

But he is in clearviolation of the Constitution--and his oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution--on severalcounts, including torture of prisoners, denial of due process and habeus courpus, and (from a legal standpoint, this is most damning) domestic spying on law-abiding Americans without warrents.

Those are not issues on which his guilt is in doubt--his own public statements amount to a confession of having violated the law in ways that clearly rise to the constitutional standardof "high crimes and misdemeanors."

However, as to whether he should be impeached, there are two other points to consider. First, in practice, the one who is running the Presidency is not Bush but Cheney--and if Bush were to be impeached Cheney would become president. We would be worse off than we are now--far worse. Unless Cheney were impeached as well, there would be little point in forcing Bush out of the White House. The other point is more general. Impeachment--and either conviction or the forced resignations of Bush and Cheney--is a drastic step. The decision here is about what's in the best long run interests of our country. And while I am fully aware these two richly deserve to be treated as the criminals they are, I'm not convinced that this is the best for our country. And THAT is what matters--they are irrelevant.

Impeachment does not always mean removal. Bill Blinton was impeached but stayed in office.Your leaders in all government should be impeached. Not an honest one to boot. This Country is doomed unless we start making people accountable for their actions. A new President will not change conditions very much. Both Political parties are corrupt, They each have their own agendas .All they both want is your vote, after that ( Do not disturb) Criminals at Play.

Yes! President bush should also be impeached for his war on the constitution and the bill of rights...
I also believe that it might help if people would stop turning off the child the need to explore and replaceing it with sexual desire...

That would be great, but impractical. The country would be thrown into constitutional turmoil. Moreover, Cheney would become President, which is even more chilling than a Bush Presidency -- although Cheney appears to be running things anyway.

1st Saddam was not following the terms of the 1st Gulf war cease fire, and since the UN does not have a back bone, for our own national security, Pres. Bush did what needed to be done.
2nd. Iraq had engaged in terror attacks before.
3rd. Saddam was a madman who would have used WMD on us, as he did on his own people. He killed well over 180,000 of his own people. He used Chemical weapons in the 1980's to kill of a village of 5000 Kurds.
4th. The Congress of the US, both House and Senate voted for aggression against Iraq. There was also a second vote a few years ago, to get out of Iraq, but again our congress voted to stay.
If Pres. Bush is guilty of a crime, then each and everyone of those who voted to support aggression against Iraq needs to be charged as well.

Yes he should be impeached.

Yes, without a doubt. He also should be brought up on war crimes like Rummy has been in Germany.

Bush has made the US vulnerable to attack with incapacitating our military to the point where they wouldn't be able to protect the US in case of an attack.
