make a list of each of the expression's multiple (x 2, x3)
and wait til there is a common one in each, does have to be multiplied by the same number

the lcm of 6 and 8 is 24
then the lcm of the two expressions is 24x^2y^2( you take the highest power in every variable) You must know about divisibility in the ring of polynomials.
