If the glove box is locked the trunk won't open manually. That is a cab feature so you can park the car with the top down. Since you have no power it will not release and you won't be able to unlock from the glove box if that is the case. So I suggest pop the hood and apply jumper cables or a battery charger if you have to the (+) and ground terminals located under the hood. This will power up the car and open the trunk.

If you can get under the car, use a battery charger to send voltage into the starter. Battery chargers usually have alligator clips on them. CAREFULLY clip the positive lead of the charger to the starter making sure that you are on the direct battery lead and not the solonoid relay connection. Then Clip the negative end to the chassis (in order to ground it) on a place where you can get good contact with the bare metal. Plug in the charger and this will send enough power in your car's electrical system to activate the trunk.
Oh yeah.. and one common mistake that people make is that when the manual says to turn the door key to the right- they put the key into the door instead of the trunk.

You did take the door key out of the door, find the truck lock, insert the door key there and turn right, didn't you? If not, do so. If you did, and it doesn't want to open, push down gently on the trunk lid while turning the key, it may be binding. If it still won't open, hook the battery back up and use the electric release.

Call the local service center and talk th them. I did that actually, and there is a code you can do with the key and door handle. Once that is done you can pop the hood, then put jumpers on the posts under the hood.
Car is powered up, pop the trunk and hook the battery back up.
