Have you tried the Gerber Graduates meals? They have a soft texture and consistency that is just right for that "in between" stage...

Each child is goign to be different from the next. If they do not want to eat table food then don't worry about it. Breastmilk or Formula is all they really need for the first year.

Check if it is the consistency that they do not like. If they eat baby food then prehaps blend up some of your dinner in a mixer to babyfood consistency and see if they like it that way. If they don't then perhaps they just don't like the taste of that food.

Babies will like/dislike things just like adults do. Wait awhile and then try something else. :)

Well I think a puppy that age should still be with the Mom for another 3 weeks. He couldn't have developed any long term eating habits at that age so I would give him a high quality puppy food (no corn, no soy, no wheat, no by-products and a named meat in meal form as the first ingredient). At 5 1/2 weeks you should still be wetting to soften the kibble and warming the food.

My son at about 11 months was still eating baby food but what worked best for us was the food that has the label with an age that you should use it or start using it. we tested each one a little at a time and the ones he liked we sticked to it till he wanted another one. you can try gerber foods (thats what we did) and if hes trying to put stuff in his mouth theres these little star things that when baby eats them they instantly disolve. my son loves em and hes almost 2 1/2. we just let him eat what he wanted (with in reason) if he didnt like a vegtable then we tried another till we found the one he did like. the mixed ones work good too. hope this helps

11 months is still a little to early for table food. Mashed potatoes and soft stuff like that is ok, but I would stick w/ baby food for now. And I hope your still giving him formula or breast milk too. They need the nutrients in the formula till at least 1 yr.

Give him plenty of the baby food! Mine stayed on it until 2 and I did not care, because they got their nutrition! All babies are different, so feed him what he will eat! The goal for now is give him proper nutrition! Try table food in spurts to introduce him! By K, he'll eat in the school cafateria! That's how my dr. answered my worry on table food! He was not concerened as long as they ate the babyfood fruits and veggies and also try the meat sticks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All babies are different remeber that!!!!!

work up to it slowly. let him have some baby food, and something more solid. hard baby toast, gerber puffs, cheerios, apple sauce, cottage cheese. those were my daughters favorites at that age. keep trying. don't give into him always wanting milk. he can still have milk but on a regular schedule. don't make eating a battle though. it makes it worse later when he really gets picky at a toddler. good luck!

What kind of adult food are you trying to force down this child's throat? Maybe he has a sensitive stomach, or he doesn't like your diet and would prefer the food he's grown accustomed to.
