In my early stages, I was not bold and not timid, too. But on growing up, I became bold and thats what I am now.
Being timid does not pay anything and rubs all our good fate in a fraction of second, but on the other hand, the bold personality offers all laurels to the life.

I feel like I am timid but others would say I am bold, I project I have self confidence even though I may be terrified inside.

I have learned to be bold. I spent much of my life timid and got walked on - and abused by my ex.
I feel much better about myself now.
You just have to know that you are a great person, and who ever doesn't think so, well, it's their loss!
