Just about everything looks more interesting under a microscope! I work with microscopes all the time in my lab, and even when looking at the same staining or object there always seem to be neat new things to notice.

Here is a great website with colored images taken with an electron microscope from the University of Hawaii. Check it out!

Yes, in my microbiology module they had me examine mater under the microspcope. I made some very detailed drawings. It was really fascinating. My sister, dad, and I examined things such as onion mold, lime mold, fingernails, hair, and teh head of a small fruit fly. However, the thing I found most interesting (the coolest) is lookng at dirty pond water. We looked at diatoms and entamoeba hestilotica reproducing. The E hestilotica is a very bright lime green. We also so other interesting microorganisms such as rotifer. There was several other dirt substances we could see, including worms that were moving very fast.
Quite an intricate experience actually.

I looked at a piece of linty dust from under my desk when I was looking for dust mites. I was shocked to see the variety of fibers it contained. I teach high school and have 162 students, so lots of people are in and out of my room. I guess there's a pretty good pool of fibrous material.

I never, never get tired of looking at pond water cultures after they've grown in some straw-water (water that has had straw boiled in it and then strained out). Endlessly amazing.

I like looking at frog skin and blood and sperm and looking at what my lotion and shampoo look like under compound light microscopes...I'm kind of a big nerd, I know!
