you have a rod knocking, don't drive it anymore, you can actually send the rod throught your block and kill your whole engine. I had a friend that drove his car with a rod knocking and it shot through his stearing column and caused a major crash

rod bearing went bad and threw the rod itself,this is not a cheap fix either.

my guess is you dont have a blown engine cause all you here is clicking...im going to guess again and maybe your cruise control switch is the reason you can't go over 45mph...but, this is just a wild guess

your transmission proably went bad and wouldn't shift if its an automatic, which means you proably reved it to high and threw something
