My friend the other night went to a house party, but I couldn't go because I wasn't feeling very well. She was having a really good time, until these jerks (the guys) starting rating the girls on how pretty and how ugly they were. I think my friend is beautiful! I think all of my friends are beautiful!! But obviously the guys don't think the same as me because later on they, told her that they'd rated her to be the 2nd ugliest there. She was so upset, and I don't no what to say to her. I want to be a good friend and help but I don't no how. I decided I'm going to write a letter to her because I think she'd be a little embarrassed if I spoke to her in person about it, but I don't no what to put, PLEASE PEOPLE help me!! I can't stand my friend being so upset like this, I'm really concerned. Does anyone have any ideas what to put on the letter??

Just tell her that the opinion of people so shallow and cruel isn't worth a dime. Tell her the traits in her that you consider beautiful and be sincere. Explain why you care for her so much and how you see her and I'm sure it'll mean a lot to her.

I don't really know exactly what to put in her letter. I do know that peoples idea of beauty and ugliness are very different. She might have been the most attractive girl at the party to others.
I personally cannot stand 'beautiful women' I don't like make up and I find very thin girls unattractive. Others would argue the opposite. It is all down to individual perspective. Anyway those lads were a bunch of ignorant chavs and were probably looking to boost their own ego's! Perhaps you could help by boosting her ego somehow, I hope she gets over it.This is a kind of bullying.

I would probably start by telling her what her friendship really means to you..Then after stating " consider the source" you could remind her of fun times you've had in the past. Personally i wouldn't dwell on the hurtful words, validate her feelings, then just tell her they must be blind.Maybe some nice guy friends can help by showing some attention also.. If it causes problems much longer seek help .. These guys are jerks , What goes around comes around!!Sending flowers always is a perk!

Just let her no people are Beautiful in different ways. Everyone isn't always attracted to the same look. Reguardless of size or race or any other physcial feature everyone is different. She can't help it if the guys at that party were just looking for models in there eyes. She should really ask herself the people who were judging her are they so beautiful and perfect? I'm sure somewhere in the judging group there was someone who really didn't agree but was to scared to say anything. Life is to short to worry about small minded people.

I'm sorry about what happened at the party, I hope you know that you are beautiful because beauty comes from the inside out, you are beautiful both inside and out but those jerks are WAY to shallow to see that. They see what they want to see, but by rating you the way they did, they proved to you and everyone else that they are not worth your time. You deserve someone so much better than them. I am so truly sorry for what they said about you, because while it is most definately not true, I wish I could rewind time and make them say that about me and not about you. Do you really think she is beautiful in her own right as opposed to all your friends and would she know that if you said so? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, surely you and your friends have seen many couples who are like "chalk and cheese" in looks - you know the sort - beach babe/drop dead gorgeous female and mucky/scruffy/labourer males -- or Greek Adonis type male and frumpy, overweight spotty females. The guys were geeks and not worth wasting the time or emotions on and were probably not the perfect specimens of manhood they obviously believe themselves to be.

See if she is really frend, then y r u writtin her a letter? Why r u trying to talk to her via letter?? Dnt do that..Communicate with her face to face.. She wnt feel embarrased, if she considers you as ur frend..Try to explain her that if gets into some problems or difficulty, those jerks are not gonna be there to help her out, right?
and one more thing, she is not gonna be ugly just becoz they say so....They were just flying in the sky, not thiking anything and just spiitting out some rubbish..Dnt worry she will be fine if u r there with her......Make her feel better......

Just be the Friend that you already are. Take her out for coffee or a slice of pizza and talk about the weather and how goofy Aunt Sally is, etc. Get the idea ? The best vitamin for friendship is B1.
