Voodoo is a religion that is based on a West African religious system that is based on worship and ritual practices where deities are born and honoured along with the veneration of ancient and recent ancestors who earlier served the same tutelary deities. It mixed with Roman Catholicism in the New World, where the enslaved Africans in the Caribbean and Mississippi Delta were enslaved by a mostly Catholic population.
The idea of zombies did not come from Africa but rather from a rural, Haitian culture.
The idea of pins in dolls came from European folk magic.
Voodoo has nothing to do with Satanism, which comes from Abrahamic traditions. When a person from voodoo talks about satanism, he is referring to the social pain that comes from racism.
The dark reputation does not come from reality but rather from Hollywood movies.

Voodoo is a West African word meaning 'spirit'; the original word was vodun. The basic ethos of the religion is that everything in the universe is connected. Nothing happens by chance in this world, and there are no accidents. Everything that you do to one person you are doing to yourself, because you are that person.
Voodoo is, in fact, one of the world’s most ancient religions. Voodoo arrived in the West during the slave trading days. The basis of the religion came from Africa, but the Voodoo we now know was structured in Haiti. A variety of different ethnic groups amalgamated their religions and formed the Voodoo that is known today.

Originally Voodoo comes from the word Hurdu with a Black african accent. It started in Dahomey (now called Bénin) in what was known before as French Occidental Black Africa (AOF).
It is an animist religion with bad intentions like wishing bad luck
or revenge on other people by means of sticking pins on a puppet in a photo of the person they hate. This religion migrated to America with the slave trade from Dahomey and Nigeria from their common tribe the Yuruba with the pointed incisive teeth. It is now one of the darkest religions there is in Africa. Don't ever try it will poison your whole life.

Its part of the Wicca belief "witchcraft" they do spells and most of the time they are into using herbs and mother nature kind of things. Some forms use the black magic spells" voodoo".I don't know how to take it,but I don't want one pissed at me.I know this woman that claims to be a witch, but she says she is the good kind.Witch craft goes all the way back to the times of Christ, they were called Pagans.During the first settlements in the US witch craft was feared so much that any woman thought to be a witch was burned at the stake.Potions and spells classified people as doing witchery.Just think if you told some one back 200 years ago to take some herbs and put an x over there door things like that you would be known as a witch.

I think it means a way of making things happen to other people using voodoo dolls but bad things can happen to you if you do wish bad things on them using the doll.

I think that "SERINITY4" just about says it all, and exslpained it where you would be able to understand it with out getting involved. this really is nothing to play with, and you need to stay clear of it. fasinating but dangerous. I happen to be born into it, but I'm out now, saved by God the father himself.I suggest that you do the same.
