My mom went through one when I was a kid. She ended up winning sole custody because my father was abusive but my father had supervised visits which he rarely took advantage of.

yes, my husband and I got custody of his daughter. When the police went to get her, the mother took the kids (she had 3) and ran, took a month to find them. the father of the other 2 children got custody of them aswell.

Yes, it depends on the case and all the facts and history involved. I have a long long story, lets just say it's still going on, soon to end this year.
