what up?=what is going on?, how are you ? or how are things?
not much=nothing really, the same old things, nothing changed

It's just saying something like "What's up with your life" or "What have you been doing lately" and you say "Not much" when you talked to them earlier that day, or you really haven't done anything exciting lately, or you don't want to talk to them

It's a greeting used by young people. It is like asking them how they are or what's happening with them. "Not much" means they are bored or nothing interesting is happening. You should say ,"my dick", if asked.

Not much= nothing is happening right now, you are not doing anything
