I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500. It has a V-6 engine, has about 21000 miles on it. The trouble I'm having is that the truck is shutting off on its own. No warning sensors are going off. When I am driving it, it jerks a little and then goes back to normal. Could it be that I have dirty fuel injectors, or its about time I change the fuel filter, or could it be something else. Let me know if I need to input more information. Thanks!

Just to add on to one of the answers, I live in the southwest. its cold right now, but not anything frigid. My last resort was taking it to the dealership.

This will be difficult to figure out without some further diagnosis. The first thing to do is to take it into a dealership as all emissions or ignition problems are covered under warranty for at least 3 years or 60,000 kms. There are a lot of program revisions that can be downloaded into your trucks PCM for problems such as you describe. I am not saying for sure, but a lot of the really weird problems we used to encounter were repaired by GM releasing an updated program. There is also a possibility that you are experiencing an intermittent electrical connection or component problem that will eventually lead to a complete failure. A lot of these are very difficult to find unless the tech gets the truck to act up when he is looking at it. GM also releases bulletins that address issues like this in similar trucks so hopefully someone else has this and GM is aware of it and can fix it readily. Flushing injectors and changing fuel filters are always a good idea. I change the FF in my own truck about every 20,000 km. Adding a quality injector cleaner to your tank a couple of times a year is a great idea along with a yearly power flush. Good luck.

Stalling problem could be in the wiring or a faulty sensor. Your warranty (as long as it hasn't been voided) is for 3Years or 36000miles. Take it in to the dealer! Your fuel filter should be changed roughly every 15000 miles, but that really shouldn't be causing your problem! Let GM take care of it for you!
A lot of the newer model trucks have new programmings that need to be set up on the powertrain control modules and a couple of different recalls that came out!

21000 miles it should still be under warranty. Bring it to a dealer. What you are describing coud be water in the gas. Do you live in a cold area of the country? Try a bottle of Heat. Most gas stations up here have it on hand all year long.
Good luck

Hard to say with any degree of certainty. I could be fuel related, either the pump or the filter, or it could be an electrical problem with the ignition.
Bring it my the shop Monday and I'll take a look at it.

Ditto the previous answer, it is under warranty, see a GM dealer.
Fuel pump is most likely followed by crank/cam sensor.
