You are a year older than what is considered the normal age of a Junior. Assuming after your senior year is complete in 2008 you will be 19 when you enter college in the fall of 2008. Don't you know all this already?
Good Luck!!!

In Texas, the law is you turn 5 before Sept. 1, to start kindergarten, so a Jr. should be turning 17 before Sept.1, not 18.
Maybe your parents started you out a year later in kindergarten, many parents do that because with your having such a late in the year birthday, being 10 months younger than a lot of the other kids, at 5 years old, is a big deal with regard to development........I'm sure there are lots of others in your situation, due to loving parents.........

Grade level is the real question......seniors in high school should be 17-18 years of age.

Different school districts have different starting date cutoffs. When my sons started school, they missed the Sept. starting date in St.Louis because they have Nov. birthdays. This resulted in their being 18 for their high school senior year, and being 19 year-old college freshmen. If anyone asks you about it, tell them you "redshirted" kindergarten so you could have an extra year of playing dodgeball!

Most seniors turn 18 during their senior year, but you'll be fine. That's about average.
