what are some stores that are great for inexpensive prom dresses, i live in the burbs of chicago , and im not the best at shopping for formal stuff. to tell u the truth, this is the first formal event i ever attend to at school, and i want to look nice, im all into the strapless black and white dresses, help!!

Hi, My daughter and I have gone to JC Penny's to get her Prom Dress, When she went to her Senior Prom. We went to a Bridal Store, Which you can Buy a dress there in there discount rack sometimes cheaper then regular stores.. There is all so a store called the fashion bug here in the Northwest, I don't know if you have one in your area, but they all so have Prom Dress that are at a good price.. Good luck shopping and I wish you the best time at your Prom.

I used to get mine at Deb shops. I am noe getting my nieces there. I am not sure which part of the burbs you are from, but I am origionally from Westmont. So I used there as a starting point. http://www.debshops.com/StoreLocator/default.asp Hopefully the link will work. If not then just use Debshops.com to find a convient location. I know they have at least two black and white strapless ones. I have also had great luck on the clearence racks. My nieces dress was only $20 on the rack. I like to look online and then go into the store. I find the store is usually cheaper.

if you can find a store called LEE'S then your good. they have really good prices and some of the coolest prom and wedding dresses. good luck and have fun at prom.
