She is on a college team and I talk to her after most of her games. We have know each other for about three months. We have emailed each other twice. My real question is, in her eyes am I a fan or a friend. My parents say not to worry about it, and just play it by ear. I'm not a stalker or obsessed, it's just I can't tell when she talks to me that she's trying to do her job and get more fans at the games. Or she really wants to spend time with me. Anyone have advice for me?
well she has invited me to more games and when she comes out after her games she always seeks me out. We talk for a while and she gives me advice for things. I have asked her if she could come out to my team and help us with some plays. She has agreed. Are college athletes VERY BUSY?
im 6 years younger than her.

it sounds like a healthy "older sibling" type relationship.

i'm a guitar teacher, and i'm 23. many of my students are 13 - 19 or so, and all they want in life is to be able to play in a band. so, when i play out, if its an all age event, they tend to flock to the shows and always like to talk to me afterwards. theres nothing wrong with that. if you look up to someone, and keep it sane, its cool.

i used to look up to my older cousin and his buddies, just because they were older, in college, doing the stuff i wanted to do. yes, they are busy, but if she's making time for you, she sounds like a good person, and probably not a bad role model.

i think its ok, as long as both sides are cool with it. you sound like both a fan and a friend.

College students are very busy. You can have three to five exams within the same week, even in the same day! I think that you are friends with this college athlete and if you were just a fan she would ask you if you had attended the game. She doesn't ask this because she knows you were there because she talks to you after every game. I didn't play sports in college, in fact I rarely particpated in anything because I had to work and study. And any down time I had, I slept. My parents were worried about me. College is stressful for the average student so the demands are doubled for anyone in extra activities. E-mail worked best for me as for as communication because I was always on the computer. At the next game, ask her if e-mail is best for her and start e-mailing more. Be patient, she has to find the time to come out and support your team with plays. Be flexible!

The fact that your six years younger than her may imply that she doesn't want a serious relationship with you because your younger than she is. I think that you should try to keep her as a friend for now and if something is suppose to happen then it will.

I wouldn't worry about it. If you were a fan, she wouldn't look for you at all her games. Do you think she looks for all her fans when she has a game? She couldn't, cuz she probably wouldn't have enough time. You're a fan, but you're also her good friend. I wouldn't worry about it.

i think she considers youre a fan....

has she kept her word and came to help you out with some plays? its one thing if she agrees, and a whole different if she actually comes and helps out

Hard to say...Ask her out for coffee or something unrelated to sports and see what she says
