Inkheart series is excellent, The Abarat series is also very good. In each series there are two books out. Inkheart I think is supposed to be three or four total and the abarat will have four total.

Well, as a bookworm, I could give you thousands of reccomendations, but I won't do that. I'll only give you a few that I think you might like. Try the Bartimaeus trilogy By:Jonathan Stroud. The first one is called The Amulet of Smarkand. Their really really really good, I swear!! Or I will also suggest reading the Inheritance trilogy By:Christopher Paolini. The first one is called Eragon. They're also really really really good. You've probably heard a lot about them, about how good they are, well the people who say that aren't lying!!!! It's completely true!! You could also try the Maximum Ride series by: James Patterson. They're really really really good, too. The first one is called Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment. I hope I helped you! Good Luck finding the perfect book!!

This is very different from Harry Potter but if it's a series of books you won't then you can't get better than Marcel Proust's In Search of Lost Time. It's six volumes long and each one is the length of a weighty novel, so it's a challange, but well worth it.

Libba Bray has a short series with two books so far and a third to come out in September. The first two books are A Great & Terrible Beauty and Rebel Angels. They have some witchcraft in them and are definitely fantasy. Pretty good and I would recommend them to teen and YA readers. They're easy to understand for sure and are somewhat light reads. Hope you'll check them out.

There are quite a few book series you could find like Harry Potter. A very good and underrated series is "Cirque Du Freak" it's fast paced, spooky, very readable and keeps you interested. Also you may be interested in the "Animorphs" though it is a bit dated, very good but long, series. "Charlie Bone" is another good one.
There are also some very good standalone books you could read, especially ones by Vivian Vande Velde like "Never Trust a Dead Man." Happy reading!
